A space to learn

An invitation to reflect

An opportunity to take action

An eight-session course that will empower you into a fruitful, holistic and sustainable pursuit of justice in the way of Jesus, alongside others who are committed to seeing God’s kingdom of perfect peace and justice come to earth.

Join us on Wednesdays from April 2nd - May 28th

We want to pursue justice in the way of Jesus, as individuals and as a collective. But how?

What does it look like to become people who do justice; people living a just life, fully yielded to the God who made us but also taking active responsibility for how we live in this broken world?

The Justice Practices Course invites you to engage with these questions through a deep dive into the six Justice Practices we gather around as the Just Love Network:

  • We aim to spend our time and skills doing work for the sake of others.

  • We aim to live lightly on the earth - using only what we need, extracting ourselves from oppressive supply chains, and working to shape just and restorative economies.

  • We aim to use the money that we have to enable huge transformation in the lives of others.

  • We aim to do relationships the Jesus way, crossing boundaries, creating space for others to thrive, and living lives of radical inclusion.

  • We aim to become political disciples who can transform unjust structures.

  • We aim to live from a life of prayer and invite our church communities to pursue justice in the way of Jesus.

Over eight facilitated sessions, the Justice Practices Course provides:

  • Rich theological insight into the basis of each Practice

  • Protected, intentional time for reflection on where you’re currently at with pursuing justice in the way of Jesus

  • Extended paired and group discussion to foster collective learning and accountability

  • A clear guide into action in each Practice area

This course will empower you into a lived pursuit of justice in the way of Jesus that is fruitful, holistic and sustainable, alongside others who are committed to seeing God’s kingdom of perfect peace and justice come to earth

The next run of the course is happening from 19:30 to 21:15 from April 2nd to May 28th (with a break on Wednesday 30th April).

This course is free to ensure access to all.

However, if you are able, we suggest making a donation of £10 per session (which can be paid weekly or in a one-off sum) to contribute to staff time and support the ongoing work of Just Love.

FAQs

  • This Ccourse is 100% open to everyone, from across the UK church. There's no age barrier or restriction.

  • No! All are welcome.

  • If you sign up to the course, we ask that you make it a priority to attend every session. This is because you will be placed in ‘Practice Pairs’ for discussion which will stay the same every week; if you miss a session your Practice Partner will be sad!

Having said this, we understand that life happens. If there are last minute circumstances that prevent you from attending a session, we will provide you with a recording after the session. Please let us know if you can’t make it in advance.

  • Thanks for asking! We are recommending a minimum donation of £10 per session to cover some costs of this course. However, if you would like to support us above this, please do get in touch with us on network@justloveuk.com.
