Pray Boldly: On Earth As in Heaven
🕊️ Pray Boldly: On Earth As in Heaven
All You Need To Know
Prayer that Moves
Prayer is too often treated as a footnote to justice - something we do before the "real work" starts, rather than the wellspring it comes from. Our focus this year is Pray Boldly, digging into why a deep, honest life of prayer is indispensable to our pursuit of justice, not separate from it.
Across two days at Adelaide Place Baptist Church and Findlay Church, right in the heart of Glasgow, we'll be exploring three postures for living in the gap between earth as it is and heaven's will - dependence, lament, and intercession. Above all, we want everyone to leave with a:
Deeper Dependence and Intimacy - A richer understanding of prayer as relationship rather than performance, rooted in "Our Father" before it's ever "your kingdom come"
Practiced Lament - Permission and practice in naming honestly where earth is not as it is in heaven, without slipping into denial or despair
Bold Intercession - A confidence to stand in the gap and contend for God to move - and to let that prayer send us out into action
Alongside main stage sessions, our breakout sessions are built around four streams, so wherever you're at, there's a way in. The four streams are:
For when prayer is the justice - sessions where prayer itself is the tangible act
For when you're running on empty - building resilience for the long, slow work
For when you're ready to act - practical tools and next steps to go and do justice where you are
For when you've fallen out of love with prayer - a way back in, for anyone whose prayer life has gone quiet or dry
Christians haven't always found prayer easy to sustain. It can feel like the thing we know we should do, especially when the urgency of injustice makes action feel like the only faithful response. Yet we believe prayer isn't opposed to justice - it's what makes it possible to keep going and it is an act of justice in itself. That's why we're gathering this year to grow together.
All are welcome, whether you've been involved in Just Love before or not.
Programme Partners
We are delighted to be partnering with three organisations to bring you a rich programme for this year’s National Gathering! They have each thought very deeply about how we can best engage in prayer to pursue justice in the way of Jesus and have a wealth of experience on what it looks like to Pray Boldly.
24-7 Prayer
24-7 Prayer is an international and interdenominational movement of night and day prayer. We believe wholeheartedly in the intersection of prayer, mission and justice as the calling of all followers of Jesus. The vision is Jesus, obsessively, dangerously, undeniably, Jesus.
This year Just Love and 24-7 Prayer are collaborating to support Just Love to cultivate a culture of prayer which, by nature, spills out into your city, community and reaches the world as we pour out of lives for Him. This looks like support, coaching and mentoring with the 24-7 Prayer staff team and resources to set up your own 24-7 prayer rooms for justice in your city. Prayer changes everything, because first it changes us.
Medair
Medair is a Christian humanitarian organisation working with the most vulnerable people in the world's hardest to reach places. Working in some of the most dangerous places on the planet, such as Somalia, Afghanistan and Sudan, prayer forms the absolute heart of all that we do, and our teams tell numerous stories of miraculous deliverance and provision in seemingly hopeless situations.
Praying boldly is genuinely the foundation of Medair's work, and so we are so exciting to be partnering with Just Love at this year's national gathering and having the opportunity to share some of who we are with people who share our heart for justice and an end to poverty.
““Your prayers have done many miracles.” – Yemeni Secret Believer
“There are no borders, no prison walls, and no doors that are closed to us when we pray…in the realm of prayer there are no impossibilities.” Brother Andrew
Our hope is that you may leave this year’s national gathering with a greater awareness and personal invitation to stand, contend and lament. That your faith may be built and stirred as you hear the testimony of those who share our faith but not our freedom.”
Open Doors
Why We Gather
"It felt like coming home." - National Gathering Attendee, 2023
Every year since 2016, we have gathered as Just Love to catch up, pray and learn from one another in our pursuit of justice.
It's a moment to pause, step back and take stock of all that's going on in the world and in our lives - and to have fun hanging out together as a community!
Joined by our incredible Programme Partners, 24-7 Prayer, MedAir and Open Doors, we're putting together a packed programme of sessions and seminars designed to help you in your walk with Jesus and justice. Our Connect Cafe will be open all day Saturday, bringing together partner organisations who are deeply invested in prayer and justice.
You’re not going to want to miss out! Get your tickets today.

Our Justice Practices are six practical, Biblically-rooted ways we make the idea of 'pursuing justice' more tangible.
The Practice of 'Pray Boldly' is all about cultivating a life of deep, honest prayer — prayer that doesn't shy away from intercession or lament, that acknowledges our dependence on God, and that fuels rather than replaces our action in the world. It is about knowing that we cannot save ourselves, and aligning our will with God's as he works to renew all things

We know it can be hard coming to a big event like this if you don't know someone going.
Here are some things we'll put in place to make it that little bit easier:
Let the welcome team or a Just Love staff member know you've come on your own and they can introduce you to a few folks to help you settle in.
Connect Café - we have a café area at the event that is a great space to meet new people and to network. We will have a wide range of partner stalls to connect with, learn about their work and sign up to connect in & pray with them after the gathering.
Table Talk - after a wildly successful introduction at our National Gathering in 2025 table talks are back for 2026! At lunch on Saturday you will have the choice of eating lunch with one of our fantastic event partners who will host an issue-based discussion.

It's absolutely fine if you can only come on one of the days. That's not a problem at all. Our full-weekend tickets cover you for the whole weekend so you can attend what you are able to.
It's also fine to turn up later than the main start time, or to dip in and out of the event.
We do think the whole event is going to be great, and it's only once a year that we gather as a whole international Just Love Network, so we strongly encourage you to book travel early and make the most of this unique opportunity!

Yes! We love having children and toddlers around at our National Gatherings!
Some things to bear in mind:
Please do bring your child(ren), but one parent or guardian will need to be with their child(ren) at all times during the event. We regret that we are at this stage unable to provide kids work or childcare at this event, though we know that would be a blessing to many.
Please also let us know if your child(ren) have specific needs, and we can discuss how best to accommodate them. Thanks!
-
We have a limited pot of money set aside for travel bursaries for those who need a bit of extra help getting to the event.
On the ticket form, you'll have an opportunity to indicate if you require financial support to attend this gathering and we will be in touch in due course to offer support. Decisions will be taken on a case-by-case basis.
If you have any questions or are unsure if you asked for support when you bought your ticket please reach out to us on national.gathering@justloveuk.com
