Stories are what keep us going. Join us this summer for food, poetry & storytelling with Just Love & friends.
"Memory produces hope." Amid the vast challenges of our time, remembering our stories is an urgent task: if change has happened before, it can happen again. At Just Love, we believe in the power of storytelling to open up new ways of seeing God, each other and the world.
What’s the evening going to look like?
This evening will be an opportunity to connect with the Just Love movement in Edinburgh and across Scotland, to stop and listen in-depth to people's stories and experiences.
6pm - Arrive from 6pm to help set up and get the BBQ going.
7pm - We'll kick off with Jesus and justice stories
8pm - Reflective poetry and music from Just Love members
9pm - Further storytelling, creative content and chill time, finishing by 10pm.
We'll be at Portobello Beach in Edinburgh. The vibe is bring-and-share, so bring along a drink, some food for the BBQ or a tasty salad. We'll have a firepit and some blankets but do bring an extra layer or two just in case.
We'll meet at The Cake Stand, 50 Promenade, just off Portobello Beach - https://goo.gl/maps/Fs9ygfF4w6ewFWiC6. In case of wet/stormy weather, we'll move to The Espy - https://www.theespy.co.uk/
If you'd like to share a poem, story, question or idea, email Anna Spence or Tim Lornie. If you'd like to help set up, do the same.
