About The Event

Prayer is too often treated as a footnote to justice - something we do before the "real work" starts, rather than the wellspring it comes from. Our focus this year is Pray Boldly, digging into why a deep, honest life of prayer is indispensable to our pursuit of justice, not separate from it.

Across two days at Adelaide Baptist Church and Findlay Church, right in the heart of Glasgow, we'll be exploring three postures for living in the gap between earth as it is and heaven's will - dependence, lament, and intercession. Above all, we want everyone to leave with a:

  • Deeper Dependence and Intimacy - A richer understanding of prayer as relationship rather than performance, rooted in "Our Father" before it's ever "your kingdom come"

  • Practiced Lament - Permission and practice in naming honestly where earth is not as it is in heaven, without slipping into denial or despair

  • Bold Intercession - A confidence to stand in the gap and contend for God to move - and to let that prayer send us out into action

Alongside main stage sessions, our breakout sessions are built around four streams, so wherever you're at, there's a way in. The four streams are:

  • For when prayer is the justice - sessions where prayer itself is the tangible act

  • For when you're running on empty - building resilience for the long, slow work

  • For when you're ready to act - practical tools and next steps to go and do justice where you are

  • For when you've fallen out of love with prayer - a way back in, for anyone whose prayer life has gone quiet or dry

Christians haven't always found prayer easy to sustain. It can feel like the thing we know we should do, especially when the urgency of injustice makes action feel like the only faithful response. Yet we believe prayer isn't opposed to justice - it's what makes it possible to keep going and it is an act of justice in itself. That's why we're gathering this year to grow together.

Prayer That Moves

Why We Gather

"It felt like coming home." - National Gathering Attendee, 2023

Every year since 2016, we have gathered as Just Love to catch up, pray and learn from one another in our pursuit of justice.

It's a moment to pause, step back and take stock of all that's going on in the world and in our lives - and to have fun hanging out together  as a community!

We loved seeing hundreds of you in London last year for Serve Humbly on how we use our work, time and vocation for justice. This year we're coming to Glasgow!

Joined by our incredible Programme Partners (insert names + links to their websites which ones are confirmed) we're putting together a packed programme of sessions and seminars designed to help you in your walk with Jesus and justice. Our Connect Cafe will be open all day Saturday, bringing together partner organisations who are deeply invested in prayer and justice

To get a taste of the sessions you can expect, see our Event Programme.Or, head to our Contributors page to see who's coming and our Partners page to find out more about our Programme Partners.
