JLAT 2025 Tickets

We are so excited to see you at Just Love Autumn Training!

Just Love Autumn Training (JLAT) is our national training for all Just Love committees across the UK! If you’re on a 2025/26 Just Love committee, then this training is for you.

At JLAT, we will add depth to all you learned at Just Love Easter Training, expanding on the introductions to theology, prayer, strategy and leadership. We will also introduce some new topics through sessions such as 'Doing Justice Well’, ‘Life After Uni’, and ‘Campaigning’.

JLAT will also give you time to connect with other Just Love student leaders across the country! This is a highlight of the committee year and we're so excited to have you.

1st-4th September 2025

St Thomas Crookes Church, Sheffield

Key Details

JLAT begins early evening on the 1st Sept and will finish late afternoon on the 4th.

  • Early bird tickets running until the 30th of April. The ticket prices for this event will then increase to:

    - £40 for the whole event

    - £30 for two days

    - £15 for 1 day

  • STC Sheffield (St Thomas Crookes Church) is on Nairn Street and is an hour’s walk from Sheaf Street Train Station and Sheffield Interchange Bus Station in the city centre.

Several buses are available from Sheffield city centre to the JLAT venue, including the following numbers: 52, 95, 120, & 257. Buses will take you within a 2 - 10 minute walk of the JLAT venue.

  • If you know someone in Sheffield and can stay with them, or you are able to find a hotel, airbnb or campsite to stay at with other committee members, please arrange to do so. Staying with your committee is a fun way to experience JLAT! We will provide you with a guide soon to help you with ideas to find accommodation as a team.

However, if neither of those options are available to you in order to attend JLAT, we can help. We are able to provide some discounted places at a hostel near the JLAT venue for those who need support to cover their accommodation costs. For those who cannot afford other options, Just Love has a list of contacts who are happy to host students during our training events. They are Just Love alumni, family of Just Love students, and friends of our network. Some of these hosts will have a bed to offer, others just a floor mattress or a sofa bed. If you do not have somewhere to stay during training and would like to be partnered with a host, we will connect you with a host closer to the time of training. Please let us know when booking your JLAT ticket whether you need support with accommodation - the deadline for doing so is 3rd August.

    Nearby, affordable accommodation options are:

    • Foxx Hagg Farm Campsite (7 minute drive or 30 minute bus from the venue)

    • Russel Scott Backpackers Hostel

    • Jonas Hotel (Endcliffe Vale Road) or The Rutland Hotel (Glossop Road)

  • We will be providing lunch on days 2, 3 and 4 as well as dinner on days 2 and 3.

Please let us know of any dietary requirements and allergies whilst booking.

  • We want Just Love training events to be fully accessible to everyone in our movement and have sought to choose venues and locations that are accessible for those with physical disabilities.

During our events, we will also have a separate, quiet room for those who would like or need time out of the main sessions.

If you require any additional adjustments or services in order to make JLAT accessible for you, please let us know when purchasing your ticket.

  • Some students choose to drive to Just Love training events. In the ticket form, you will have the option to indicate that you are able to offer lifts to people who live near you if you are able and willing, or if you would like to be connected with someone who can offer a lift.

However, most students use public transport to get to Just Love training events. You can find out more about how to get to JLAT here.

Accessibility Information

At the venue:
The building has an access ramp at the front entrance taking you directly into the main building. If this ramp is too steep there is another access ramp at the side of the building with a lift. Inside the building there is a lift allowing access to all rooms used throughout the event and two accessible toilets near the main hall. The building is also equipped with a hearing loop system in the main hall.

Transport:
The JLAT venue is an hour’s walk from the city centre bus and train stations however regular buses are available. The most direct bus from Sheffield Interchange Bus Station & Sheaf Street Train Station is the No. 95/95a which will bring you within a 10 minute walk to the JLAT venue. Other bus routes are available. An accessible toilet is available at both the bus and train stations.

Adjustments:
If you require any additional adjustments or services in order to make JLAT accessible for you, please let us know in the access section when purchasing your ticket.

Financial Support:
We want every single committee member to be able to attend training. If you need financial assistance to make JLAT accessible to you, we can offer a travel bursary. This travel bursary is not means tested - we will not ask you about your income or expenditure. The bursary is open to anyone who would otherwise not be able to come to a training event because of the cost of travel. Even if you’re unsure about whether that’s you, please reach out to us (training@justloveuk.com) or contact your staff worker - we love you to be at training and want to help make this possible!

The process to receive a bursary is as follows:

  • Please indicate in your ticket form whether you need financial assistance in order to attend training.

  • Your staff worker will then be in touch with you to chat about what kind of assistance you might need and where you intend to travel from. This is because we do not have a set bursary that we offer, but will be able to cover a certain percentage of your travel costs depending on what you need and how much bursary money we have available to split between those who have requested it.

  • We will be in touch with you about how much we’re able to offer as a bursary with plenty of time for you to still book your tickets and we will send you the reimbursement once you have done so.

For those who are able, you can also opt to pay a bit extra on top of your ticket price to support covering the ticket cost or travel bursaries for others. This helps us to make training as accessible as possible to everyone in our movement.
